MOZZARELLA STICKS
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of mozzarella cheese in a block
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of nonfat milk, for a healthier alternative
- 0.25 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of plain bread crumbs
Directions:
- Create 3 x 1/2 inch sticks out of the cheese blocks by cutting it carefully.
- In separate bowls, prepare bread crumbs, and flour.
- In another bowl, mix the milk with the egg.
- Coat the cheese sticks by putting them into flour, then milk and egg, and finally bread crumbs.
- Place them onto a cookie sheet and freeze for 12 hours.
- Fry the sticks in small batches, for 12 minutes, at 400 degrees.
